When we focus too much on what we want, the mind creates reasons why we can’t have it. This leads us to dwell on our weaknesses. The best way to avoid this, and build confidence, is by consciously focusing on gratitude. Set aside time each day to mentally list everything you have to be grateful for. Recall your past successes, unique skills, loving relationships, and positive momentum. Create a gratitude journal and write out your list.
You will be amazed how many things you have to be grateful for and it will motivate you to take that next step towards success. It is important to remember that we all need to initiate, nurture and sustain the relationship within ourselves in order to build relationships with others.
